{ NEW SKIN?! } and some other things[/center] okay! so obviously we've gone through a bunch of changes here today (or yesterday, according to my clock). new skin, a couple new boards, as well as editing a bunch of shit.
but also, benz, our other admin, had to step down and has decided to quit, so that just leaves myself, kayla, as you're admin. we still have our beloved, mods, lana, cori, and marzi, though! so we should be alright, but we will miss her < 3
also, due to her quitting, we're going to have to edit around her characters, so there will be a few changes in the plot. and hopefully we can patch up the holes :]
anndddd that's all, i think. haha.

{ AGH. GLITCHES. } and I'm kinda lazy[/center] alrighty, so, I've realized that there are a ton of glitches with this new light skin. a bunch of the band colors are hard to read, some colors we use for our characters are blinding, and personally, I don't want to spend three hours finding new colors for the bands again.
I know, I really like this skin, too, but I think I'm going to darken us up again. Not quite like the last skin, but it will be on the blue/gray side, I think, but it will still be on the light side. I'm testing out colors and such right now and making sure all the colors are visible on it this time, so hopefully we won't run into this problem again.
ALSO! I've been extremely lenient with the posting of unfinished apps here lately, but I think we really need to get those done now. And I know I've let a few staff members (myself included) begin to RP before they finished, well, I think this week is when we need to step up and finish those. We also have some editing to do in the plot, I'd like to get that finished this week, too (like to, doesn't mean we will, but we'll sure try).
I'm also considering rising the minimum word count to 300. Since it seems no one has had any troubles reaching 500 to 1000 (and even 3000, sheesh!) and I personally don't think that rising it (though it is a little more pressure) will cause any damage to us. I've really seen no reason not to raise it. I could probably set it to 400 and we'd probably barely notice. But I won't be so cruel today. haha. Tell me what you think about that, send a PM to this account with your thoughts. And if you'd like to suggest a skin color theme along with it, be my guest. ahaha
Another thing! Revolution Records was never meant to rely on the Record company itself, but on the band members and (soon) local bands. And I feel our name kind of leads you to believe otherwise. That being said, I'm changing our main name (the record company is still going to be Revolution Records) to Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't). Yes, All Time Low song, don't care. I like it, and it fits our plot. (I'll go into a deeper explanation about how it ties in later once the new skin is up and the name change takes place).
Also, we really need some more band guys. Especially for LDD. Everyone seems to be favoring 3DR (though that's certainly not a bad thing), but we can't forget that LDD is our "main target" and we can't really start on anything major until we've gotten the LDD positions filled up. We need Crew as well, so don't forget about them!
Uhh, I swear there was something else I was going to mention, but maybe not. Oh well xD

{ BAM ! } new shit ;D[/center] OKAY! Sooo, Obviously, we've changed quite a bit. We;ve got a new skin, leaning more on what I had been trying failing to do at the start of Rev. Hopefully you all like it? I was trying to go for a more.. Fun theme? I guess, Don't know. Haha
Anyway, the rules have been updated, go read them. I added a graphic artist to each band crew, bands have been updated, too. I tweaked the sound of This Saturday, as well. I switched Stereo Skyline for Dot Dot Curve :) since they have a more fun found to them and Stereo Skyline is more of a love song type. Anyway, local bands are now allowed, but only upon an ADMIN'S permission. Thus meaning me or Lana.
Oh, speaking of which, yes, you heard right. Lana is now an admin! SO WELCOME HER! < 3 Make her feel loved ;D
I've been pretty cool with allowing you to post unfinished apps, but no more, okay? I'll give you until sometime after noon est tomorrow to either finish them or save them and then I'm deleting them.
ALSO: Please, we need LDD members before we can kick start our site plots.

{ Pssh, Lameee } I should just give it all up. ;D[/center] OKAY, SO... The advertising contest obviously did not work. The only person that would've won (for doing anything) is Marzi, who's been advertizing like a bitch, haha. However, that's kind of backwards; the point was for you guys to get involved; not us admin. We can make bands as we please, ;D. Haha, jkjk. So basically, the contest has been canceled.
Also, just for those of you who haven't noticed or just don't know because you're new, I went and added in a "Tabloids" area. Yes, this is meant to be like the actual tabloids; whenever there's news, it'll be posted. It's not weekly, it's not daily (though it might be at times) and it's open for discussion, 100%. Feel free to post things in there, because more than likely your character is going to get ragged on at some point in time. The writer is anonymous, and your characters are going to just have to deal with the brutal paparazzi, and the rumor-spreading journalists. If you have things that might do good in there, be sure to PM the tabloids on their account. Drop them a hint, a story, anything, and they'll do the rest.
Oh, and any pictures online are game in this, unless we can tell that it's just blatantly out of character for your person. However, near-nude pics probably will be used at some point in time if your character is of any importance. ;D Speaking of that, the people that are going to get ragged on most are the most famous people; that is, people in the bands Lock Down Denial, 3 Day Reunion, and This Saturday, along with anyone closely associated in line. Next up are the starting-out bands, then, every now and then, the local bands.
Last but not least:
Expect an activity check, which will probably be whenever we do the next maintenance mode... And the next Mmode will be whenever we catch up on everything else, and it won't last long. Just a little updating is left. We've got the brunt of it done, and now we have a better estimate of how long it should take. ;D

YEAH. Okay, so we never ended up going into m-mode again yet, we've been busy. Ahaha. But I'm currently working on (hopefully) way more appealing skin. As you've probably noticed, I grayed this skin, too. I couldn't stand how the blue looked xD!
Uhh, activity check will start soon, and we want to start a tour when Benz and some of the members get back, but we'll see how it goes.
Anyway, yeah, that's all. Nothing much to really say besides to expect a new skin here pretty soon. lmfao.
