AS THE MUSIC DIES, THERE'S SOMETHING » I N Y O U R E Y E S « Cass sighed and shut her laptop, collapsing back onto her bed and looked over at Mocha on her pillow. Jeez, those guys were really something. They actually managed to piss her off, and that wasn't something that could happen so easily. And then Corelynn got on and bitched at her too, like she had no business in the whole thing (which she was kind of out of the majority of the loop. The only things she knew were what Jordyn had told her, but still). She was so sick of all the drama, it was ridiculous, and the majority had to do with Chain. Corelynn chose him over her family and he basically betrayed Jordyn by going back to the drugs, it was crazy.
She ran a hand through her hair and closed her eyes, resting her arm across her eyes for a moment. Maybe something she said to him would get through his into that idiotic, intoxicated skull of his. Yeah, she wasn't really apart of anything that was going on with them, but the fact that she was best friends with two people that were kind of put her in position to where she couldn't help but to kind of judge him. Though, after this conversation, she was beginning to understand. He kind of does just what people expect, he doesn't think that anyone will give him a chance. But honestly, if he tried, he would eventually gain respect.
The sound of her phone vibrating on the corner of her night stand made her jump a little. She sat up again and grabbed it, checking the name and smiled, it was Steven. Cass flipped open her phone, opened the text, and laughed as she read it. He was finally up for a prank, eh? Hopefully he knew what he was getting himself into, she tended to overdue them sometimes. They went back and forth a few times through text, decided to prank Chain, and that they would need to pick up some bleach hair dye, whip cream, and a couple bottles of spray paint. Yeah, it really didn't look like he cared if they went overboard, because this was certainly stretching the limits, but hey, Cass sure wasn't going to complain. She practically lived for stuff like this.
Cassadee hopped up off her bed and rummaged through her closet for something fun to wear, deciding, since she had no masks, she'd just do something silly with her make-up and pull together an interesting outfit. She settled for her short, black dress and brown boots, styling her make-up in the most stylish way she could think of. She did her usual at first, then applied more so she looked a little more on the scene side, darkening around her eyes as much as she could to kind of conceal her identity without looking like some freaky retard. She styled her hair in a more scene way, something she hadn't done in probably a year, and had to admit she did look a bit different.
Finally finished with her appearance, Cass stole Mocha up off of her bed and locked her in her cage, "Be good, now, okay?" she laughed as she headed downstairs to wait for Steven to arrive, grabbing an old bottle of bleach hair dye and a can of spray paint from her closet on her way down. This was going to be an interesting night.

this calls to mind a silver screen and A L L T H O S E S A D G O O D B Y E S- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - By the time Steven logged out of the chatroom, his anger had cooled a bit. Chain had just gotten told off by his girlfriend, which was a damn good thing, considering how he was talking to Cassadee. But still; he was rather ticked off still. So... He texted Cass, the biggest prankster he knew.
By the end of the whole planning, they'd decided on some pretty epic things. He grinned; they were going old-villain style and dressing up in masquerade-style clothing. And man, did he have an outfit picked out. He walked over to his closet, pulling the double doors opn and glancing at the selection available; he was pretty sure he had more clothes than most guys. Then again, he definitely wasn't like most guys.
First on the list was a black collared shirt with ruffles down the front. Next, a sort of tie that was thin and loose-hanging, tied into a bow and hung down in front of the ruffles. He pulled on a pair of black jeans, tucked his shirt in, and then slipped on a simple belt. Then, a a jacket with tails at the bottom, old-styled and witha single large button on the front. He examined himself in the mirror, trying buttoning and unbuttoning the jacket to see which way he liked better, and settled with unbuttoned. He opened one of his drawers and dug through it, pulling out two simple black masks; one for himself, and one for Cass, if she needed one. He pulled his on, making sure that it went under his hair and bangs in the front. Then, his personal favorite; his tophat.
He examined himself in the mirror, then grinned widely, grabbing a small black messenger bag and slinging it over his shoulder before marching out of his room. He headed down the stairs, and tried to head past the kitchen, but his aunt stopped him. "Steven!" He jumped and turned to face her, and, under her odd look, a blush rised to his cheeks.
"Yeah?"
"Are you going to another one of those... Rave dances?"
Steven laughed, backing away. "Let's just stick with that. Hopefully you won't find out." He headed away, and his aunt laughed behind him.
"I swear, one day you're going to end up in jail.'
He walked into his garage, looking around. He rifled through a few boxes and shelves before finally finding the box of spray paint. "Yes," he muttered, grabbing a few cans and shoving them into his bag; it was a good thing Lilly had random "artistic spurrings", otherwise he'd be all out of ammo, and they'd have to stop to buy some... He was pretty sure he'd arouse some suspicion if he popped up in Wal-Mart.
He went to walk out his front door, then stopped, remembering suddenly that he'd forgotten his gloves, and of course, how could he not have those? He ran up the stairs, grabbed the gloves (and the extra mask, which he'd also forgotten), and bolted back down the stairs. He jumped down the last stair, but his bag caught on the railing, and he was yanked back. He landed somewhat painfully on his back, and promptly burst out laughing. His aunt, who'd seen the ordeal, laughed as well. The bag swung back and then forward again, actually slipping off the railing and landing with a clatter next to Steven. He stiffened, gritting his teeth and grimacing. He turned slowly to face her, her eyebrow cocked, and then she just shook her head and walked away, saying, "I don't even want to know..." while holding her hands up in the air.
He laughed somewhat nervously, grabbed the bag, and slung it over his shoulder once more. He headed out to his car, threw it in the back seat, and climbed in, starting the car and heading for Cass's house. He texted her when he showed up, grinning widely at her when she arrived. "I have another mask if you'd like it," he offered, pulling on his gloves.
The drive to Chain's house wasn't too long; he'd found out where he lived by a friend of his who knew the location of his house; apparently, a few people already knew. This didn't really surprise him, though.
He stopped the car at the end of the street, shoving the keys in his pocket. "I don't want anyone to see the car," he explained, climbing out and grabbing his bag, opening it towards her so she could see the fruits of his labor. He grinned widely. "I think we're pretty well-equipped, don't you?"
He tossed the bag onto the ground and crept towards the front door, easing it open and peering through the window. He didn't see anyone, so he tried the doorknob, to find it unlocked. He eased it open, and immediately retailiated, holding a hand over his mouth and nose. "Ugh! They seriously need a maid or something." He waved his hand in front of his face, and then stepped in; the house smelled of alcohol, sweat, rotting food, and vomit. It wasn't the cleanest place. Steven picked his way across the floor, headed towards where he assumed the bedrooms were, all the while holding his hand over his mouth and pretending to gag.
He grinned and eased open one of the doors, peeking inside carefully. He stopped, straightened, and pushed the door open, turning back to Cass. "I don't think this is gonna be hard. Have fun. I'll get started on his car, because I haven't seen Spencer, thank god." He grinned, and headed back outside. After about ten minutes, he came back in, looking for a personal opinion on color-coding. He had his bag at his side and walked casually through the house, although he tried not to make too much noise. One of his gloves was off and hanging from the front pocket of his jeans. He offered up two colors, asked which he should use with purple and pink (just to make it that much gayer), then decided to stick around until she was done, a big grin on his face the whole time. When she was done, he'd turn and head back towards the door, muttering quietly. "It's so damn dark in here. I can't see a- shit!" He hit what he assumed was a coffee table, then tumbled over onto it and whatever was on top of it, finally falling off of it with a clatter of the spray paint cans.
"Ow! Fuck!" he tried to keep his voice down, but had somewhat difficulty, although after that he bit his tongue and held it in. He stood up, sour. "I can't believe I fucking fell on their floor... It's so... Nasty!" He shuddered, then grinned playfully, heading outside.

AS THE MUSIC DIES, THERE'S SOMETHING » I N Y O U R E Y E S « Cassadee laughed and nodded, "Uhm, yeah totally." she said, taking the mask and slipping it on with a grin. "So, how's it look?" she asked, giving him a wink and then laughed. This was going to be so much fun, she just knew it. Despite the fact that Chain was going to be pissed as fuck when or if he ever figured out who did it, but she didn't particularly care. He'd rather pissed her off with that conversation, even if they were high or drunk or whatever the hell they were, it didn't matter. Okay, yes, she had just finished basically giving him a speech on how he could change... And now she was about to go prank him and piss him off, but... If you looked at it that way, sure, she'd be a pretty horrible person. But, they way she was choosing to think about it kind of made her seem a little... Well, helpful? Or something.
She looked at it as somewhat of a testing chance. See if he could take it, in a way. Or something. Since she wasn't really doing this out of cruelty, she was just totally not denying this chance to prank someone with Steven. She quite honestly, from her memory, never refused a prank. So, I guess in a way, that was her excuse. They parked the car down the street and she nodded in agreement. Yeah, definitely best if no one seen the car. She opened the car door and slipped out, walking up to Steven as he pulled out his bag of supplies. She laughed and nodded as she revealed her bleach hair dye. She held it by her face a put on the biggest grin her face could hold, hitting the box against her head and laughing, "Oh yeah, we're totally set," she grinned as they headed off for the house.
Cassadee stopped and watched Steven as he peered through the window and tried the door handle. She was surprised it was actually unlocked. She watched him as he backed off, unable to resist laughing at his reaction, "Oh come on, it can't be that bad," she laughed walking up to the door and immediately pulling her hand over her nose and mouth, bending over and making a gagging sound. Apparently, he really wasn't kidding. "Holy shit!" She exclaimed in a whisper, "Okay, yeah I guess it can, and is, that bad. If not effing worse." She stood up straight and walked away from the entrance so she could breathe again, "The smell of bleach is freaking heaven compared to that. And that's saying something; bleach really smells horrible." she said with a laugh as she began walking back to Steven and toward the door, holding her hand over her nose to try and block out the stench. It wasn't really helping.
She walked with him to Chain's room (which was thankfully not too terribly difficult to find) and stretched her hands above her head, hair dye in her hands and a grin on her face. "Piece of cake," she said in a whisper, lowing her arms and pulling out the chemicals. "Okay, go! Go! Go!" She laughed under her breath as she pulled on a pair of rubber gloves and began to mix the chemicals. The bleach oder already beginning to coat the stench of rotting mold, thank god. Because in all honesty, bleach was a more appealing smell than this house. Hell, shit smelled better. They really needed to clean up this house. It was pretty pathetic.
She squirted some of the dye into her hands and glanced over Chain. She didn't particularly want to make it look hideous, she actually wanted to try and see what she could literally do with it. I mean, why not? And if it looked pretty snazzy, maybe he wouldn't attack them; if he ever even found out if was them. Maybe, maybe not. If the situation was brought up, she knew she'd have to resisted the urge to crack up, so more or less, she was sure he'd find ou eventually. Oh well.
Cassadee looked him over, deciding to be cool and make the tips, or well the bottom half, of his "bangs" blond, trying to give them an interesting texture. Hm, this was actually really fun. Perhaps she should have taken a hair stylist job rather than photography. Well, actually, no. She loved her job to death; maybe she should just take it up on the side. Because damn, she was having the time or her life doing this shit. She decided to to the tips of all of his hair blond and gave him a few tiny streaks that didn't quite reach the blond tips. She was actually kind of proud of her work.
She looked back at the door, almost startled thinking it was Spencer or something, at Steven. Giving him a grin and pointed at her creative styling, "You know, I was just going to leach it all, but dang! This is really fun," she laughed. She listened as he voiced the color question, pondering a second before shrugging and giving him an answer, "Honestly, I think you should do them both." she laughed, grinning. She added just a few more finishing touches before standing up and stretching her legs. "Now to wait for it to set a few minutes and wipe it off... Do you think he'd wake up if I just dumped some body temperature water on him?" she asked, seriously pondering it. She didn't particularly want to ruin his hair, being the nice person that she was. Plus she was rather proud of the design. In the end, she just got a cup of water and wiped it off, more or less. She couldn't wait to hear him rant about this in chat. Or on TV. Or wherever.
Cass flinched as he tumbled over a coffee table, if that's what it was. It was so loud! And his exclamation so didn't help the sound issue. She flinched back, closing her eyes a second and holding her breath before looking back at Chain, hopefully he hadn't woke up. She couldn't help but to laugh over his comment on the floors, though. They were really nasty. A real work of art right there.
