Friendship
There are no limits to the amount of friends this guy can have. He's sociable and has no qualms talking to anyone no matter their gender, size, age and whatever. Carmelo is a partier, nothing more nothing less. He smokes weed, cigs and drinks so unless you have any issues with them, your good to go!
He's one of the most low maintenance guys around so you don't have to worry about pissing him off, 'cos, well, he just doesn't get like that... unless you're trashing his band. Not advisable. On stage he's a bundle of energy and the band is known for creating one massive pit in the audience from front to back because their music verges of rave music with electronics and what not.
Carmelo appreciates top music though so will listen to anything and give it a go, especially music he wouldn't otherwise hear. Seriously, he's a good guy and too easy to get along with.
Enemies
I think you would be very much alone on this one because Carmelo doesn't do anything to really annoy anyone, other then he is quite clumsy; but it kind of works for him, you know? If he gets the feeling any argument is about to break out, he will leave though. Even if it's about him. He hates confrontation of any sort, other then a good political debate when it has some order to it. It's too intense for such a laid back guy off stage.

What Pete Wentz character wouldn't have some love in his life. I doubt it would be serious, unless you could cope with his partying and pot smoking ways? If you are, seriously, let me know because that could so work!
Otherwise, they could meet at a party or something. I'm not sure. I'm sure though that your crazy brains can think of a muchly awesome plot, yes? Yes.
