Carmelo's style matches his personality absolutely perfectly. He will wear what he wants, when he wants without fail providing he thinks it looks good. Generally skinny jeans and hoodies are what he is seen in but he could quite easily be wearing a waistcoat and tie if he wants. On stage, Carmelo is a force to be reckoned with. He wears the make up and uses the stage show clothes to full effect if there is a theme to the gig. Frequently called Emo in his style, anyone that knows him knows its not emo... its shanksy. There's no rhyme or reason to any of his clothes and the only thing he really takes note of off stage is his hair. Out and about, Carmelo's hair is almost always styled to his perfection, frequently flicking it and running his hand in it to make it that much more messier 'styled'.

Carmelo is actually a very innocent, quiet, good person. As long as you catch him on a sick day.
Offstage. Shanksy is the very definition of laid back. He shys away from the beginnings of any fights or arguments and refuses to participate in any of them, unless it is a healthy debate. At the first sign, of it being any more, Carmelo will simply raise an eyebrow and move away. He hates confrontation more then anything, not because he is scared, but because he does not see the point in it at all. In truth, it only frustrates him to the max; not that you would notice.
Carmelo is a partier to the full, frequently hosting parties for the whole label. Since he doesn't do the whole argument thing, its hard for him to pick up enemies and no-one can really question how he hosts such great parties, but he does. Very rarely is he angry and so he's great company what ever the time, guaranteed to produce a laugh at some point. Being part of This Saturday only furthers the reputation they have gained for being the jokers of the label. What can he say? He likes a laugh, alcohol, parties and weed. He's really not that complex, sort of.
On-stage Eccentric, wild and just a little unpredictable, Carmelo puts his good humour on show on stage and with the aide of the dance music his band produce, can get the crowd past insanity. He's got surprisingly good stamina, although its needed for the fans his band has. Anyone from ravers, hardcore indie fans or old school rockers can have a jump to the music.
Carmelo is known to always get injuries on stage because of the wild nature of his performance. In fact, it's rare for him not to pick up some form of injury but he just states that its part of the rush. It doesn't help that he is incredibly clumsy either. Quite basically, he is a show man and uses that title to his full advantage , always ensuring the crowd have gotten their money's worth in his energy alone.

history , Carmelo Shanks was born in Valencia, Spain to his Spanish mother and English father. His father had already had a daughter with a another woman back in England but because of the distance, they never really met and he never questioned how his father would never visit her either. Nevertheless, Carmelo grew up in Spain, his mother pushing her Spanish music on the whole family but Carmelo always found himself drifting much more to the soft rock and music that could actually make him dance like a maniac, and so listened to the British and American music much more. He picked up more of the English language this way also, which pleased his father immensely.
As a gift on his 12th birthday, Carmelo received a guitar from his parents, along with lessons so he learnt it properly and not just tabs like other kids were doing. However, the same birthday, his best friend had bought him a battered out keyboard but consequently got upset when Carmelo received a better instrument in the form of a Fender black acoustic. As a form of diplomacy, he suggested mixing the two sounds together as a joke... except he found himself actually loving the sound more then just keeping them separate. It was really clear from then where his music tastes would lie.
When Carmelo was 15, they moved to London England and he immediatedly mixed with the wrong people, trying all types of things, some he had never even heard of before. Still, playing music was his main aim in life no matter what and Carmelo was actually quite good on the guitar and had found that he could sing when he could truly be bothered to. As a consequence, he was in a band which went on to get signed.
Carmelo dropped the drugs, especially as the news that was being published about the band would be leaked for sure if he continued. However, as a semi-agreement with himself, Carmelo continued with the weed, too aware that everyone was doing the stuff. As a true fan of the music he sings, it gives Shanks the motivation to put his all into every show, something that he is quite well known and respected for. The fact he also hosts kick-arse parties might have something to do with it, of course.

roleplay sample , The corners of Malik's mouth curled into a quick smirk at her retort to his mostly rhetorical question. He shrugged at the comment. "I'm the exact same person I always was." Malik said honestly, before facing the couple and setting off a round of his own amusement with their emotions. Humans were too easy to mess with. His smile dropped a bit though when he felt a tingle at Lynnidy using his power. It was too weird to see anyone using his own power, instead of himself; even though he should be used to it with Lynnidy. After all, it became normal for a mutant to be connected so much with their powers, and why it felt like suffocation when they weren't there.
"Oh, no... wait." He started off, sarcasm weighing down his words. "What was it that creature said to me? I've been changed." Malik's amusement was reflected on his expression, showing his clear disbelief of that and he let out a small chuckle. His blue eyes were diverted up as a waitress from the front came over, pen in hand.
"Anything, sir?"
Dropping his gaze to hold Lynnidy's strong one again, Malik had already taken in her drink of food, as well of ingesting some of it himself. "Sure. Why not?" Tapping his fingers on the table in front, his posture still casual, he looked up at the girl, his gaze friendly to anyone that didn't know his new self. She blushed a little when a small charming smirk filled his face. In truth, he could probably make her fall over him, but there was no point and excess use of his powers would only do him more harm the further the night went on. He had, after all, been worked quite hard already.
"I'll just have a coffee, thanks." He blinked once before continuing, "I have to keep my friend company, you see." The waitress nodded eagerly as if she actually understood anything. "That's no problem." The waitress tapped her pen against her pad and darted off, Malik's smile dropping to a less polite one as he faced forward onto the street.
"I wish you didn't hate me so much, Idy. I can feel your hate and to be honest, it's making even me uncomfortable." Chewing his lip, Malik shrugged. "It doesn't have to be like this, you know." If only she would just leave the heroes, she could see what he had managed to. The suppression and danger... for what? For the humans to kill themselves anyway.
