overall personality , Well you know how the story goes right? There’s always that nice guy who wins the heart of everyone and anyone who meets him? The kind of guy who isn’t very bright up in the head, but he makes up for it with the warmth he has in his soul? You know that kind of golden boy portrayed in the movies and everything. Well, now that you got the picture down destroy it and burn it till it turns to nothing more than ashes.
Denim Mathers is the complete and total opposite of prince charming over there.
Though Denim would be in this story too. But in this case, instead of being prince charming Justin would play the ass of a joker who can’t be taken seriously. He’s the kind of guy that is actually bright, and is so bright that he burns people just for the fun of it. As for his heart, it could be said that it’s non-existent. He’s that son of a bitch who takes people’s hearts and holds them prisoner. With that pretty face he’s bound to be a heart breaker , and sleeps peacefully at night because he has laughing gas permanently in his system and finds everything amazingly humorous.
Denim’s not the one to take anything or anybody seriously. He’s not the serious guy, and he’s defiantly not the type of guy you would bring home to the parents. He’s the clown , and has no problem admitting it. He can’t take anything seriously even if his life depended on it. He makes fun of every situation even if it meant one of his best friends died. The point of the matter is Denim will never be the person you can trust with responsibility. And in all honesty he doesn’t want to be that kind of guy. Beyond all that laughter and smiles is a boy who can’t stand being sad , angry , or depressed. He had been so afraid of not being accepted , he had been so angry because of being neglected and beaten , he had been so depressed because no one loved him that he got tired of it.
No one knew when Denim started to change, when he started growing this cold almost sadistic exterior of a clown mask. Denim is done with the past, always looking forward never behind. For the sole reason that he’s afraid his ideal world that he had built up for himself would come crashing down.
It is because of that that so many people see him as a cocky son of a bitch. He is always confident in his ways, because he found that feeling self doubt and weakness is a waste of time and useless. No matter what, he follows through with his choice s 100%. If it so happened that his choice would end up screwing him over, then he wouldn’t be phased by it. Justin’s not the type to whine about a small sore or scar physically, mentally, or hypothetically. He’s a hard worker believe it or not and will start from the dead beginning again, never looking back , because he can’t look back.
You could say that Denim is another Peter Pan fanatic, but that would be an understatement. If the boy could , he would want to live forever in a world that truly is a place just for kids . No worries about growing up would phase him. He’s just trying to live life taking in every second that he has. Denim was a boy who didn’t get a chance to live out his childhood. Even to this day , this sixteen year old is being forced to play three years older than he really is. But that doesn’t mean he’s going to grow up , trust Denim to play long and hard.
Denim’s has done and seen things that a regular sixteen year old shouldn’t even been thinking about. He’s been so fucked up [ literally ] by girls and alcohol that it would need a miracle to save this guy from the path he’s going. But he’s a smart kid , even after dropping out of school he knows what’s wrong from right . Though he also knows that he’s in too deep to be saved.
Denim isn’t exactly Mr. Golden boy , but unlike many believe he has a heart. In wanting to make people laugh for selfish reasons in the past it made him actually want to make people laugh because he didn’t want people to feel horrible either. He can be a real sweetheart when he wants to.
That is when he’s not being reminded of what a failure he is.

history , denim was born to gregory mathers and kayla noel westley one august night. that baby boy was that couple's miracle baby for they were told they wouldn't have any children. the mathers family was a relatively poor one living in the more rural parts of county limerick. farming and tourist attractions were how they earned their living but they were happy. that is until denim's father had developed an illness. since they didn't have enough money denim's father died because lack of treatment. denim continued to go to school but it proved to be difficult as he got older and his mom's job alone couldn't hold up the farm and the family at the same time. at eight years older denim's mother had married factory worker benjamin o'brian who would soon show denim a real living hell. denim started getting abused daily by his often drunk stepfather when ever he came back home from work. his mom started to pay less and less attention to him especially when he needed her the most. life started to prove more and more difficult for denim , but he found school as an outlet. more importantly his teacher miss logan . denim knew he wasn't supposed to have these feelings for her , but he ignored it and let his feeling grow more and more . it was a shameful secretive relationship between the two. at thirteen denim had lost his virginity to her. he was convinced that he had fallen in love and that his life was turning around. but the life he was building started to fall apart. his mother ran away from home after all these years and denim was left at the mercy of his stepfather. the night his mother left denim had gotten raped by his stepfather. he stopped going to school because he was ashamed of what his stepfather did. like his mother denim soon ran away at age fifteen to limerick city. it was when his agent discovered him in a skatepark that he asked denim if he wanted to become a model. denim soon moved to england to pursue his career , but his pretty face made him get a side job that wasn't all too pretty.
at sixteen years old , denim mathers is one of the most recognizable faces in england let alone the entire modeling industry. he's ruling pages and hearts.
