- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MANAGE ME I'M A MESSI M A B O O K H A L F U N R E A D_________________________________________________ Chain rubbed his forehead, tossing his phone aside. He'd been on the internet for a while now, and though he thought that he and Corelynn were practically official, he'd pissed off her brothers, gotten them to tell her off and make her feel like crap, and piss Jordyn off. And now she was ranting to him, and now they were talking about the rape... And he was waiting for her to write back. He flumped down on his bed and exhaled slowly. His phone beeped, and he fumbled for it, pulling up the screen and expecting to see more depressive crap, an annoyed resonse already being typed out before he really looked. He finally did... And bolted upright, gawking at the screen.
He typed out a shaky response and turned off his phone, tossing it aside once more and staring ahead, in shock. He thought on what she said... And suddenly felt sick. He took off for the bathroom, practically power sliding to it to get to it in time to barf. He threw up in the toilet a few times, flushed it, and leaned his head against the wall. Great. Now he felt even worse. Fucking...
He sighed, standing up and wiping off his mouth, grabbing his toothbrush and shoving it in his mouth. He scrubbed for a few minutes, made sure the taste was completely gone, and finally grabbed a bottle of vodka, heading outside to sit on the porch. If ever there was a time for drinking, it was now.
After a while, he saw Corelynn drive up, and lifted the bottle a little in greeting. She got out, and he stood up, holding open the door for her and stepping in.
The house was an unholy mess; neither of them cleaned up after themselves; everywhere you stepped, there was something other than floor to step on. He held up his finger, opened his mouth to explain it, bounced his finger a few times, and shut his mouth, merely shrugging. "Come on, we'll go to my room," he said, stepping over some stuff and into the next room. Spencer was unconscious, draped on one of the couches haphazardly and rathre unnatractively. "Uh... Yeah. That's Spencer. Come on." He shook his head, watched for her reaction, chuckled half-heartedly, then added, "Don't do drugs, kids." After that, it was to his room.
He sat down on his bed and pressed one hand to his head, taking another swig from the bottle he was holding. "I've got more if you want it."
He sighed, prepped himself, and then launched into his mini-speech. "Okay, I just... I figure it's fair to let you know what you're getting into. Your brothers were right... I... I really am not the best person.
"I've lived on the streets since... Well, like... Forever?" He gave a dry, annoyed laugh. "Well... Shit, this is awkward. I've only told like, the band. Spence was actually involved; so was Jordyn, kinda..." He took another, long swig and grimaced. He was depressed; he was almost afraid to date this girl; it seemed like every time he went out with someone, something bad happened. He hadn't had that many girlfriends, but still. It tended to turn out rather horribly. He wasn't even officially with Corelynn yet, and he'd already managed to turn her brothers on the both of them. He rubbed the back of his head and his neck awkwardly, trying to think of how to begin.
"Just... I don't know. When you live like that, you... You generally have to do a lot to survive, right? Well, like, I've..." He stared at his free hand fixedly, bouncing it nervously. "I've killed... People. Before. And... I've done a lot of other stuff, too, that... I wish I hadn't. I used to jump random people because I was pissed. I.... Wow." he gave a weak chuckle. "I did drugs, I've been a drunk since I was like... Thirteen or something, I don't know, and... Jordyn saved me from suicide, and I went and fucked things up for her, more than you know. Or, even I know, for that matter." He propped the elbow of his free arm on his knee and leaned his head into it, taking another sip. "When I tell you I'm a dick, I'm not kidding. I'm... A horrible person. And I couldn't avoid a fight if my life depended on it."
'I really... If you don't... I really wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to date me, but... Ugh, I just am not very happy with myself."

A DEADLY WISH BUT IT SHOUL'VE COME SOONER A CORPSE IN A FUNERAL THAT I WOULD NEVER ATTEND THERE IS A LIGHT ON IN THE BACK OF THIS HOUSE, BUT YOU'RE NOT AROUND, TO DIE IS TO LIVE IN HIS HEAD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Her hands shaky, her face wet from crying. Her brother's have never hurt her this much before. Especially Mattie. She didn't know what she did wrong, but this situation could have been a little better... She hated when Wes and Mattie where mad, plus it didn't help at all that their anger was pointed at Chain and her. Why couldn't they accept that she really did like Chain?! Why was it so hard to just deal with it? Yeah, she felt bad for telling Mattie to 'fuck off', but actually... it felt a little good. She was finally taking control instead of letting her older brothers shield her. Besides, she wasn't the one taking random girls into their home every night. They actually thought she was going to get wasted?! Or let Chain in her pants...? It hurt a little that they thought that... they should be supportive instead of telling her she's making a huge mistake.
Corelynn felt horrible for putting Chain in this situation. She should have not even opened her mouth and told Chain the truth, she wanted to, but if she knew what she did now she would probably be laughing with then instead of in her car driving to Chain's nearly crying from how bad she felt. Mattie seemed pretty hurt and that's definitely the last thing she wanted. She threw the phone onto the passenger seat, not even wanting to see what Mattie said, if he even said anything.
Her car speed, going almost twenty miles above the actual limit. She didn't care, she'd rather be in jail then feel this much guilt. Hopefully Chain would quench the pain... he did make her laugh and feel a lot better. Corelynn didn't really know if the were going to end up dating... if they didn't it would have been a real waste. Finally she was Chain and Spencer's. She was a little worried... what was Chain going to tell her that was so depressing? That he couldn't tell her through the phone or computer? Not to mention what would Spencer say to her? At this point she really didn't care, all she wanted to do was to see Chain.
Her black car pulled into the drive way besides the others, it was almost sad to see Chain there with a beer in his hand. It made her want to run to him and just try to make him happy again, she heard about his friend, Jordyn, that was going ape shit on him... Again she didn't know why everyone was freaking out about this. Opening the car door, she tried her hardest to put a smile on, but after they walked inside it was hell. The smell of alcohol was over powering, almost to the point where she had to breath out of her mouth, not to mention the smell of drugs.
She walked further inside, Chain lurking beside her guiding her into his room. Her eyes went to Spencer, it was sad how bad he looked. Almost depressing... She remember what it was like on drugs, how hard it was to become sober, how many friends she had lost. "Does he always look like that?" Looking up at Chain she asked. For the first time today after what happened with her brothers she actually gave a small chuckle at the comment about drugs. He just made her feel better.
Walking into the room it was even more depressing, dark and dusty. How could they even smile in a hell like this? She sat on a small chair across from Chain. Watching the light that was still out try to come through the window that was covered with tan plastic, dust dancing in it. Her head jerked back to his as he asked her a question, "What? Oh no... no I'm fine." She watched him as he took another sip from the bottle, making Corelynn feel worse some how. Maybe because he wasn't drinking it in a normal way, but a depressed way. There were really no words to describe it.
A confused face planted its self as he mentioned her brothers and how they were right, she began to speak but really couldn't find anything to say so she let him continue. With out thinking her hand moved to his, then moving to his side on the bed, she felt like she needed to comfort him. "I don't care about your past, Chain, why don't you make a better future? What's done is done... you can't change the past." She moved her hand to his cheek, moving her face closer to his. "I don't care if you've killed people, I'm... I'm not afraid." Removing her hand she looked back at the window, trying to remove all the depressing thoughts that traveled through her mind. "We all have a fucked up past...." It felt good to tell him that...

"You'll have to tell me sometime, and I'll tell you my big secret. But you don't have to. Just... Let's just... Relax for a little while. I don't really feel like being depressed right now. I just want to... Be." he chuckled a little, laying down on the bed and puling her down with him so that she was laying down beside him, his arms wrapped around her.
After a few minutes of just sitting there, he slowly began to bury his face into her neck and hair, breathing on the skin that he knew to generally be sensitive on girls. Either way, if she liked him, she probably wanted to kiss, and he did, too; he'd be the first to admit that he had a lot of one night stands, but he'd said he liked her, and he did.
He nuzzled the skin softly, gently shifting around so that he was a bit more on top of her, slowly working his way towards the inevitable; the kiss. Finally, his lips reached hers, and they brushed softly before pausing to see if she would reject him. Given that she didn't, he would continue, pressing his lips a little more firmly against hers, tongue sliding in carefully, wanting to make sure he wasn't moving too fast. It wasn't like he was too worried, though; they had, after all, both admitted that they liked each other. He wasn't going to go much further yet though; just a little kiss was fine with him.
The sound of a car's engines stopped him, and he sat up, confused. He crawled off of Corelynn and went to the window, using two fingers to peel the blinds apart and peer through. "Who the..." He held up his finger, telling Cor to wait as he headed for the front door.
He stepped over all the junk in their house and, eventually, Spencer, making his way towards the door; he had a slight amount of difficulty due to the alcohol he had consumed already, but was otherwise fine. He wasn't a total lightweight, but he'd been drinking throughout the day, and it was starting to add up. He opened the door, blinked blearily into the sunlight that streamed in, and was sent flying back, tripping and landing rather painfully on top of a table and some chairs, actually toppling the table.
"What the..." And then he saw him.

SHE CANT BEHAVE * and i'm just the same
"Hey, Darrell, I'm gonna borrow your phone for a sec, is that cool?"
"Yeah, yeah, go ahead. I'm busy," Darrell said, focusing on some new video game that, waving Mattie away. Mattie, currently texting Wes on his own phone, texted back a rather smug response as he grabbed Darrell's cell and quickly looked up Chain's home address; as it turned out, he lived with Spencer.
"Thanks," he said, tossing the phone back where he'd found it and headed out the door. He knew he could probably get arrested in some way for practically stealing that "confidential" information, but he didn't really care; the idea of Corelyn being with Chain alone and with alcohol scared him... But the idea of Corelyn being with Chain and Spencer alone and with alcohol and drugs did. It wasn't that he didn't trust her, it was more of a protection thing; he didn't want her to get talked into anything.
And he didn't want anything to happen to her that she was afraid of telling him about again.
He pushed down on the gas pedal, speeding a little but keeping his eye out for cops; Wesley had informed him that he had thirty minutes to get home so they could get clubbing, and he really didn't feel like getting bitched at through texts again.
He found the street and, soon after, the house; the yard looked like shit. They probably didn't do anything to keep up with it. He waltzed up to the door, and was about to knock when that sorry son of a gun Chain opened the door, peering out. He looked dazed, either stoned or drunk; he'd assume drunk, because as far as he knew Spencer was the only one that did drugs.
But he still didn't want his sister around him.
He dealt Chain a rather hard shove, sending him stumbling back and into a freaking table, which he knocked over. Okay, he was seriously starting to feel like a dumbass; so far, he had the felonies of stealing the freaking address from Darrell's phone, assault, and entering, if not breaking and entering. He didn't even know, but he knew he could definitely get carted off in a cop car.
He paused, however, just inside the house as the stench hit him, closely followed by his disgust at the state of the house. It was a mess. However, he forced himself to get over it and head further into the house, though he at first had to actually hold his hand over his mouth as he quickly picked his way through, thankful for his long legs.
He started at the sight of Spencer, draped across the couch and looking rather dead, other than the fact that his chest was rising slowly. He grimaced and continued, figuring he'd probably better get out of there, even if it seemed as if both of the guys he'd have to worry about were in some way handicapped... One of which handicaps was that he was passed out.
He finally found the right room, and shut the door behind him, knowing that Corelynn was probably about to freak out on him. He wouldn't be surprised if she slapped him, although honestly, he didn't really care; he was mad at her anyway. He was just terrible at sticking grudges through. He couldn't just leave her here, especially not now. "Come on," he said quickly, grabbing her hand and yanking her towards the door. "I'm risking getting my ass thrown in jail for you, let's go." It was obvious by the tone of his voice that he was ticked, and not to be messed with. It wasn't very often that he used that tone of voice; usually he only got "playfully" mad but at that particular moment, he sounded furious. He kind of was.
The door opened, and Chain was there, but Mattie grabbed the front of his shirt, swinging him around and up against one of the walls. Chain held his hands up to either side, and Mattie sneered. "What, after all the bullshit you spew, you can't even grow the balls to fight me?"
"No, actually," Chain spat, grabbing Mattie's wrists and pulling them off of his shirt, pushing Mattie back a little as he headed for his bed. "I'm just not going to fight you in front of your sister. And if you're smart, you won't touch me again in my house, otherwise I'll call the cops. Sound familiar?" he asked, referring to their previous conversation in the chat room.
Mattie glared as Chain waltzed up to his sister, grabbed her, and kissed her, just to piss him off. Man did Mattie want to fight that asshole. "Hurry up and go, before that wanker of a brother of yours goes psycho." Chain smirked, backing off, and turned to Mattie. "And I think you are legally obliged to leave, before I press charges for assault."
Mattie backed up, angrier than he'd ever been. "One day, man..."
"Any time she isn't around," Chain said, smiling and laying down on his bed, folding his arms under his head. "Oh, and make sure you don't bother Spencer on the way out, or he might have a little surprise for you. Just saying."
Mattie didn't mess with Spencer, but he did grab Corelynn's arm and yank her towards the door, kicking things out of his way and muttering about the state of the house.

A DEADLY WISH BUT IT SHOULD'VE COME SOONER A CORPSE IN A FUNERAL THAT I WOULD NEVER ATTEND THERE IS A LIGHT ON IN THE BACK OF THIS HOUSE, BUT YOU'RE NOT AROUND, TO DIE IS TO LIVE IN HIS HEAD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Chain was the first person she's actually liked since her last boyfriend, who actually she thought she fell in love with. That night... the night they were coming home from a party and he punched her in the stomach just changed her whole perspective on love. She thought maybe she just wasn't supposed to fall in love, or even like anyone for that matter. But Chain, Chain just brought out a whole different emotion that has been bottled up for God knows how long. She didn't care about his past, she didn't care if he killed people and she didn't care what Mattie and Wes thought about him. They weren't dating him, she was.
It was beyond annoying and hurtful that Mattie thought she was going to get shit faced or something, or maybe Spencer was going to tempt her into drugs. If only Mattie realized how her past was, that she was used and utterly violently abused. It almost forced her to take drugs, thank God she was never home when she did.... and thank God she was totally sober now. It was going to stay like that. She was done hiding her feelings for Chain and confessing that she liked him in the chat room lifted so much emotion off her shoulders, it felt good, like it was needed. Not to mention he liked her too, which obviously put her into a good mood until her brothers ruined it.
Why couldn't they just accept this, just deal with it? Yeah they care for Corelynn, but she needs room to breath. To be herself. Honestly they can't even talk, Mattie brings strange women into their home all the time, but she can't date someone she really likes? He can throw away women like that, but she can't simply date a guy? She didn't even know if this was worth the fight, but something inside her told her it was, that she should keep fighting. So she was. Corelynn wasn't going to let her foolish brothers stop her from liking someone.
She found herself laying beside Chain, who was busy nuzzling her neck, sending a warm shiver down her spin. Wow, she's never felt like this before... When Chain moved slightly on top of her, she couldn't lie, she was a little nervous for a moment, but that all went away when he gently brushed against her lips. Leaving a smile spread across them. Forcing her head up a bit she kissed him once more, then he kissed her, using a bit of tongue which definitely made her hands start to shake, it wasn't like she was that nervous... just... enjoying this.
Propping herself up as she watched him crawl off her, hopefully isn't that maybe she was a bad kisser, but the thought faded away as she heard a car door slam, "Maybe it's just Spen-" She stopped mid sentence as Chain left the room, giving her the signal to wait here, sitting up confused she hugged her knees, trying to figure out what could be happening. Her eyes widened as a huge shatter went off in the living room, a little frightened she popped off the bed, debating with herself if she should go out, but instead she saw Mattie appear in front of her, grabbing her hand and yanking it toward the door.
The tone he used with her was unbelievable, it sounded pissed and ashamed all at the same time, but honestly Corelynn was too pissed herself to care. "Mattie?!" She began to say and then looked down at her wrist, "Mattie... Mattie! You're hurting me!" She couldn't believe that her brother was actually here, pulling her toward the door. "Get off me! I'm nineteen I can do what I want!" When Chain entered the room a shock wave of fear traveled through her body. She didn't want him to get anymore involved in this.
Watching your big brother push someone that you really liked into the wall just made you want to break down right then and there. Corelynn tried to be strong but she's never seen him in this kind of rage, was he really that pissed off at her? "Mattie! Get the fuck off him!" She screamed in pure rage, she couldn't take this, just standing there and watching this whole thing take place was sick.
Her eyes followed Chain as he walked over to her, grabbing her, and then kissing her softly. It was clear he was only trying to piss him off, and man was that working. Corelynn kissed him back, only trying to do the same. She listened to him as he called Mattie a wanker, she really didn't care anymore, why should she defend him. Smirking at Mattie as Chain mentioned not wanting to wake up Spencer and from the sound of it he was already awake.

SO GRAB THIS STATEMENT AND READ BETWEEN THE LINES I'M WALKING ON AN EDGE, THAT'S HOW I STAY ALIVE
I NEED A FIX NOW THE PILLS I HAVE TO TAKE IT HELPS ME LIVE A LIE AND BLINDS ALL MY MISTAKES
__________________________ "Mmmm." He mounded as he began to wake up from his rather... vivid dream. Man, thank God no one really could read minds, it would devastate millions if they could read Spencer's. Oh well, that's what you get for being high and drunk at the same time. He felt horrible. Like he was going to barf or something, but that was almost impossible for Spencer, from what he can remember he's never actually thrown up from drinking too much. Lazily getting up his hand naturally traveled down there to scratch the morning... or morning to him, boner. It came with the dreams, but hey, Spencer wasn't complaining.
He didn't even realize the screaming until he was looking in the mirror, was that a chick...? Slowly opening the door to the bathroom he walked out, scratching himself once again, before he could see what was going on he called out to Chain where ever the hell he was, "Chain...?" Slowly walking around the corner to be met by Mattie, who Spencer hated to begin with, and his sister Mattie. No Chain insight. "Hey Chain, is this another one of your odd sex games?" Leaning on the corner of the hall way wall he watched as Mattie tugged on Corelynn's arm who was obviously trying to fight him off her. "Dude, fuck off her." Staggering toward them he lifted one hand in front of Mattie's face, trying to say something, but he couldn't... he felt.. he felt the need to, to; Green chunks splattered everywhere, but mostly on Mattie's shoes.
His head slowly rose to face him, smirking in a way although he didn't fully realize what he did. Corelynn just stood there, trying not to laugh in any way. "Jesus Christ, don't you clean your shoes? You're making my house smell like shit." Walking over to the door he opened it motioning that Mattie was not welcome here. He looked over at Corelynn who by this point couldn't help but laugh. "You can leave now."
He didn't know why the hell Mattie was in his house, but it probably had something to do with Corelynn... who Chain said he liked... still Spencer was too wasted to even wrap his mind around the fact that she was here for Chain and Mattie was here to take Corelynn away from him. "You know, your sister's kinda hot." Brown eyes examined the body of Corelynn's, she didn't really know how to react, but at this point all she wanted to do was to piss Mattie off so she was going to. Slowly she walked over to Spencer, greeting him in a huge hug, at first Spencer didn't know how to react so he just stood there as she whispered in his ear a thank you. Friendly wrapping his arms around her, he looked over at Mattie, giving him a huge smirk.

SHE CANT BEHAVE * and i'm just the same
Mattie didn't think he'd ever been so disgusted and so furious in his life. He just wanted out of there... And then Spencer barfed on him. He felt like kicking the guy in the face, nevermind the fact that he knew he'd get jumped. Somehow, though, he managed not to, grabbing Corelynn (a lot moregently this time, though his grip still remained firm) and pulled her towards the front door.
He got out and immediately kicked his shoes off, disgusted. He picked them up carefully and wiped them off in their grass, doing his best to clean them off. He stomped to his car, reached in, and grabbed a rag, wiping his shoes off and throwing it in the yard. He sat in the driver's seat, legs sticking out as he pulled his shoes back on. Staring fixedly at his feet, he spoke, just loudly enough for Corelynn to hear. "I didn't meant to hurt you; I'm sorry." He sighed, and turned to bring his legs into the car. "Come on, please. Just... Not tonight, okay? Let me deal with this first. I-" he stopped short when the door opened and Chain came out, walking up to Corelynn. He climbed quickly out, a glare already burning in his eyes as he watched Chain whisper in Corelynn's ear and point to the house.
"What the fuck are you doing?" he demanded, although honestly, his anger was wavering. He actually felt pretty defeated. He hadn't exactly expected Corelynn to be happy about leaving, but things still were not going as well as he'd planned.
Chain walked into the middle of the yard, faced Mattie, and held out his hands. "Come on. You wanted a fight, you're getting one." Mattie, despite that little voice in his head telling him to back off walked up to him, but stopped, glaring and trying to reach a decision. Chain smirked, deciding to play him. "Come on, it'll be a fair fight, won't it? You're only two inches taller than me, don't have a bunch of height on me like you probably do most people. I'm not intimidated, I want you to. I haven't had a good fight in a while."
He continued, and Mattie's anger grew. He began to ignore what his head told him, circling slowly around Chain instinctively so that he was in a better position. He flexed the fingers in his right hand, still battling with his conscious and willpower, trying to convince himself both that this kid needed his face beat in, but also that he was too angry to fight well.
It wasn't like Mattie was that much of a fighter to begin with. He rarely got in fights, though he used to get in them more often, and though he was somewhat out of practice, he stillt ended to have a bit more luck and skill at it than most people. However, this was Chain, who'd probably spent his whole year fighting people off. Still... That little smirk was driving him nuts. And if he walked away, he knew what Chain would say, and a punch would be a bunch more predictable then.
So he swung, hard. Chain grabbed his fist with his right, slammed his left into Mattie's stomach, then dealt him a rather impressive blow to the face, knocking him to the ground with the breath knocked out of him. Mattie's subconscious voice had been right; Chain knew how to fight, and he knew how to throw one hell of a punch. Chain knelt down beside him, and spoke, watching coldly as Mattie coughed on the ground, in shock.
"Look, I know you hate me and this isn't going to make you hate me any less, but I'm not going to let anything happen to your sister. If she drinks, I'm going to watch her, I'm not going to fuck her. She won't touch Spencer's drugs, and honestly, who can you fight that I can't? Just face it, even if I'm a crappy guy I can protect her if I have to." Chain stood up and headed back to the house, turning back and adding, "You know, I actually learn from my mistakes. If only you knew." Chain shook his head and headed back inside, leaving Mattie to get back up.
He climbed back into his car, resisting the very strong urge to limp because of the pain in his stomach; His adrenaline had died down when Spencer had shown up, he wasn't doing so well with the pain anymore. He started the car and drived off, stopping a few streets down, laying one hand on the top of the steering wheel and resting his forehead on his arm, sighing and pulling out his phone so he could text Wes to go without him. He went to hit send, and then changed his mind, deleting the message; he felt like getting smashed, and quite possibly laid, more than he had in a long time. He sighed again, pulled down the mirror, observing his bloody nose; well, at least he didn't have a busted lip - that would have hurt when he started kissing. Whoever this "beautiful girl" that Wes had for him to meet, he was pretty sure it would suck for both of them if he had to recoil when they kissed.
"Whatever. Fuck this," he muttered darkly, restarting his car and driving off down the street.

All these things were happening all too quickly, her mind and emotions just couldn't keep up. It was so out of control and it hurt her that it got this out of control... She felt like she needed to leave with Mattie, but that would just be letting him 'win' or whatever he was trying to do. She didn't even understand why he was trying to protect her this much, she was strong enough now to know what to do and what not to do. Chain is nothing like Matt. Matt was an abuser, someone who flat out didn't care and had no emotion but anger. She knew Chain wasn't like that... she knew he wasn't the evil monster that randomly hurt people like others would label him as. So she was going to man up and do something, she really wanted to stay with Chain and that's what she was going to do.
Reluctantly following Mattie outside, she watched as he took off his shoes and wiped them, trying to remove all the vomit. She turned toward the house, just standing there as he spoke, apologizing for hurting her. "You didn't just hurt my wrist. You hurt my feelings, Mattie." Still turned toward the house she looked up at the star lit sky. It could have been a beautiful night... but no, she had to go screw it up by hurting the people that meant the most to her. Her head shot toward the door as Chain began to walk toward her, whispering to come inside and stay in there. At first she hesitated, worried at what would happen if she let Mattie alone out her. She knew Mattie wasn't much of a fighter... and if they did decide to fight she knew what would happen.
Without thinking about it she ran inside the house, turning to the window, peeling the blinds open hoping nothing would happen and Mattie would just leave... or Chain would be forgiving. But she knew the more realistic one, even though she knew Mattie wasn't going to leave... and Chain definitely wasn't going to forgive. Water swept down her cheeks as she watched her brother being punched by the person she liked. Fear took over when he punched him the second time, running to the door she fumbled with the door knob, opening it, but when she was about to run out Spencer came to the door, closing it and pushing Corelynn back. "It's not worth it... he shouldn't have messed with Chain, you're only going to make it worse."
A terrified look was planted on her face when she watched Spencer talk... he was right, she would only make it worse, he really shouldn't have messed with Chain, but it didn't give Chain the right to hurt someone she was so close to. Walking to the window once again, inhaling deeply before she opened the blinds again. She couldn't understand what Chain was saying to her brother, but it was probably something about her, which made her feeling of pain even worse. When Mattie walked to his car instead of trying to fight with Chain it actually made Corelynn feel a little better, knowing that he would go home and rest or something... or maybe even drink his body weight... I guess it's better then getting beat up to death.
When Chain walked in the door, she didn't even turn to look at him, she was too confused at if she should be mad at him or let him comfort her... but the image of him punching Mattie ran over and over in her head, getting even more vivid each time she thought about it. She wiped her eyes with her now wet hand. She didn't care if she was crying in front of them, she didn't care. All she wanted to know is if Mattie was okay or not.
Grabbing her phone out of her black pockets she tried finding Mattie's number, but her hands were too shaky to even do that. She slumped down into the couch, only hoping for a better tomorrow, but where the hell would she go? She couldn't go home that's for sure, Mattie probably wouldn't be there anyway, but still. Home was the last place she wanted to be. Wes was probably just as ticked as Mattie so that was a definite no... Laying her heavy head into her hands she began to talk slowly, "I need a drink."

And knocked the breath out of him. He felt kind of bad for her, actually, and began to wonder when she would actually start blaming everything on him.
When he came in, she was a shaking, teary mess, unable to even use her phone. He could guess what she wanted to do, however, and slipped it out of her hands gently, finding her contacts and looking for Mattie's name. He handed the phone back without a word, let her sit down, and leaned against the wall. At her words, he reached over, grabbed a bottle that was unopened, and handed it to her without really checking to see what it was. He was pretty sure she wouldn't care.
He crossed his arms and rose an eyebrow at Spencer, giving him a look that was meant to point out that she obviously another little fuck buddy or one night stand, and also that he knew he was about to have to own up for beating up her brother. He sighed, and spoke.
"I didn't hurt him too bad, trust me," he said, a little unsure of how to go on; he wasn't exactly used to comforting people, but it seemed to happen easily enough at times, hopefully it would now, too. "He'll be fine, I just knew he wouldn't listen to me if I tried to talk to him any other way. I just told him I'd take care of you." He shrugged, sighed, and stood up. "Admittedly, I was kinda pissed for being thrown into my table by him, but shit happens, right? I'll go clean up my room so you can stay in there. I know we've got Febreeze around here somewhere..." he offered up a little smile, lips pursed, before heading off, picking his way across the floor and looking under the sink for some air freshener. He wasn't going to push himself on her, make her feel like she had to let him hug her or even touch her; he didn't blame her for being pissed off at him. He'd give her the space she wanted and needed.
He also understood why Mattie had been so... Well, scared of letting her stay with him. It didn't surprise him in the slightest, and that fact was somewhat depressing. He didn't exactly like having a reputation for being a horrible person, although it had definitely saved his life on occasion, but still... Corelynn was dragged into his hellhole of a life now, and there wasn't much he could do about it; he wasn't going to make the same mistake as he had with Jordyn and push her away. That had gotten them both nearly killed, and though he doubted things would be as drastic in this relationship, he just knew things would probably end up worse for both of them, if not just him.
He walked into his room, glanced around at the mess, and sighed, starting with the clothes by bunching them up and throwing him in the closet, and spraying every now and then with the air freshener he had found.

A DEADLY WISH BUT IT SHOULD'VE COME SOONER A CORPSE IN A FUNERAL THAT I WOULD NEVER ATTEND THERE IS A LIGHT ON IN THE BACK OF THIS HOUSE, BUT YOU'RE NOT AROUND, TO DIE IS TO LIVE IN HIS HEAD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . She let Chain take the phone and find Mattie's name, handing it back to her. She blankly stared at it, debating with herself to actually call him or not. He probably he wouldn't even answer if she did... so with that she threw the phone beside her on the couch. Taking the dark bottle she opened it, quickly after that chugging it down. It didn't matter if she was going to get wasted or not, it didn't even matter anymore. Finished, she set the bottle on the coffee table in front of her, sighing as she stared at it.
Although his words were somewhat soothing she didn't know what to say, so instead she just watched him speak. She did feel bad for what Mattie did to him, but really, it was no excuse. They were both wrong and if it wasn't for her they wouldn't even be in this mess. She would probably be at home with Lee watching a movie or something, something besides this. When she told Chain she had feelings for him, she knew it wasn't going to be easy, buy never in a million years did she expect this to happen.
Walking over toward Spencer she asked where the bathroom was, reaching it she closed the door behind her. At first she looked into the mirror, trying to examine herself, but really she didn't even care to see her own reflection. Turning the nossel for warm water on she began to wash her face with only water. Looking around for towels she finally found one in one of the many drawers on the sink. Flipping the lights off once again she staggered out. The smell of Febreeze filled the air, making Corelynn travel to Chain's room. Seeing Chain pick up the clothes and shove them in the closer made her somehow feel like Chain really did care and he really wasn't just going to use her... she didn't exactly know how it made her feel that way, it just did.
Corelynn walked over to Chain to speak, but really no words could come out. She slumped on the bed, then laid down. Covering part of her face with her arm. "Chain... Chain I'm sorry for putting you through this..." She felt horrible, not only for hurting her brother, but for making Chain have to go through with it. Moving her arm away from her face she propped herself up so she could look at him. "Can you please not leave me tonight... can you stay with me?" The time was unknown to her, she didn't even care, the only thing she did care about was making it through tonight.
Lifting herself off the bed she walked out, getting another drink and sat beside Spencer. She wasn't about to go and feel sorry for herself, that's the last thing she wanted to do. So instead she turned to Spencer who by this point had already finished three beers in the past twelve minutes. This odd TV show called 'Daisy of Love' or something was on, it was pretty funny, but not funny enough for her to forget everything that just happened.
Cocking her head to the side she looked at Spencer, who had the oddest face on, he was probably high or something. She didn't want to be tempt into anything that she didn't want to, so she grabbed two more beers and walked back into Chain's room. Corelynn was still in her tight black skinny jeans, bright green Invader Zim shoes, and black tank top with all her silver necklaces on. She didn't care what Chain thought, but she wasn't about to go to sleep in all of this. Besides it wasn't like Chain's never seen a girl in her underwear and tank top before. So with that she sat on the bed and kicked off her shoes. Once again rising and slowly pulling her necklaces and black pants off.
Picking up the two beers she opened one and gave the other to Chain, burrowing herself into the sheets, propping herself up a bit and opening the dark bottle. "You know, I don't even like beer." A chuckle escaped her lips as she examined the bottle, trying to lighten the tension that was hovering over them. It wasn't going to get better unless they made it better.

It wasn't like he was going to spend hours on it, but he was going to at least make it possible to walk. He heard her flump down on the bed and turned around to grab some more clothes, leaning over to grab them and giving her another one of those little pursed-lipped smiles. He turned back around and threw them in, pausing when she spoke.
"You're... Sorry for putting me through this?" He stared at her incredulously, straightening up and staring at her, and them smiling. "You're not putting me through anything. I didn't have to fight him, I just... Did. I probably shouldn't have, but I did. As I said, I couldn't avoid a fight if my life depended on it." He smiled, tossed some more clothes into the closet, and once again stopped at her words. He turned around and gave her a more genuine smile, nodding his head. "Yeah, I'm not going anywhere."
She wandered out of the room, and he watched her go with that little smile, then shook his head, grabbing one final handful of clothes and tossing them into the closet. He sighed and sat down on his bed, glancing around; well, it definitely wasn't the cleanest, but he'd met his goal and making it walkable... As long as you didn't try to get in his closet...
She walked back in, handed him a beer... And stripped. He stared at her for a moment, shrugged, and set the beer down, pulling off his shirt. He threw it in the closet with the rest of his clothes, paused, and looked at her. "I mean, if you're already stripping, I like to sleep in my boxers." He laughed a bit, kicking his shoes and socks off and then pulling his shorts off last, leaving him in light plaid boxers.
He laughed as she commented on the beer, glancing at his own and swishing it around. "Eh, you get used to it. And as long as you don't let yourself get a beer belly - which I don't, obviously - it's okay." He lifted the drink to his lips, lowered it, smacked his lips, and grinned. "See? You get used to it." He chuckled, and climbed under his sheets next to her, staying up talking and drinking for a little while but eventually growing tired - it wasn't that he was one to fall asleep early, but with all due respect, that day had been kind of tiring.
Finally, the two of them fell asleep, with her laying on one of his arms and the other folded under his head, which was turned away from her. He did not, however, sleep as peacefully as he might have liked to. When he'd fallen asleep, he'd done so thinking of his and Jordyn's conversation, and what it had been centered on. He slipped into a rare dream, but also an upleasant one.
Actually, it was more like a flat-out nightmare. The dream was more of a memory than anything -- a memory of the day that everything had really gone downhill for him. He remembered the day vividly; he'd gone walking out to meet up with someone before everyone went around thinking he'd tried to kill himself again or something, taking a familiar route. He was wearing the clothes that Jordyn had bought him; A blue shirt with skulls on it, a blue and red plaid shirt, a jacket, and some black skinny jeans that he had recently ripped in one of the knees.
He turned the corner, walked past a dumpster, and someone leapt out, grabbing the back of his jacket and slinging him around, slamming him against the wall. He pushed off, whirled, and swung his fist, catching whoever it was in the jaw. The guy's face jerked to the side, and Chain went to kick him when he was tackled from the side. Oh, great; two on one. Well, he could probably do that if he tried hard enough, but he already knew that he was going to get beat up a little.
He struggled out from under the guy, turning around and kicking him in the stomach, just as the first guy got back to his feet. He popped to his own and backed up towards where he'd come from, ready to make a run for it if he could. However, that was changed as he was suddenly sent reeling as someone dealt him a rough shove from behind. The first guy stuck out his foot, and Chain tripped, hitting the ground hard and scraping his palms painfully along the ground. He was grabbed by the back of his jacket and hauled to his feet again, but he twisted around, doing his best to fend off the guy. Great, three on one? This was just...
Oh, crap. He saw yet another guy come out, and realized what was happening all too quickly. He had to get to Jordyn. He had to... But he couldn't. Someone would hit him, he'd hit them back, get shoved away and hit again, knocked down, picked up, slammed into the wall, kicked, and basically got the crap beaten out of him. He ended up on the floor, coughing up blood, all kinds of cut up and bleeding, when one of the guys came up and actually kicked him in the face. He grabbed at his mouth with his free hand, the warm blood seeping through his fingers. Though he couldn't literally feel the pain in his dream, he sensed it, in the weird way you did in dreams. A few rather unneeded kicks later, when Chain was finally about ready to just pass out, he heard Jordyn scream... And only then did he notice that two of the guys had disappeared. He let out a strangled yell, only to get kicked yet again, and left in the street.
He couldn't move. In his dream, it was even worse, somehow, than it had been in real life. Because things dragged out, stretched on, didn't end. He heard her scream and scream and scream, and tried desperately to crawl towards her. Finally, she stopped, and he was suddenly better, without injury of any sort. However, rather than feeling the guilt and remorse that he had of not being able to stop the rape from happening, he was scornful, contemptful, and cold. He walked up to a rather beat-up Jordyn, laying on the ground clutching a swollen stomach. She looked up at him with tears in her eyes and he just laughed, yanked his foot back, and brought it forward, headed straight for the swell that held the life he'd never know...
He jerked awake, thankfully no longer with his arm under Corelynn. He sat on the bed for a moment, breathing hard, and then sighed, pressing his hands against his face and sitting up slowly. He exhaled, lifted up the covers, and slid off of the bed quietly, closing his eyes and lifting his head to the slowly rotating ceiling fan, which was never really off. He was drenched in sweat, and in guilt. He felt terrible, and the fact that he'd just dreamt of his ex while laying in bed with Corelynn made him feel even worse. But it wasn't like he still had feelings for Jordyn - at least, not like that. But that was exactly what he was worried about when it came to Corelynn. Relationships tended to kind of suck with him.
He headed into the living room, turning off the TV, which the now-lightly-snoring Spencer had left on. He didn't really care, and would have usually just left it on, but he kind of wanted something to do, anything to do, other than thinka bout, well... Back then. He hated his life, and who he was, more than most people did. He was one of the meanest motherfuckers out there just because he had to be, and was like that to pretyt much everyone, except for a few people. Namely, his band and Corelynn.
He wandered back into his room, grabbing a pair of loose but comfortable dark plaid sweat pants. He didn't really seem to notice or care the light-on-dark plaid look he had going on now, since the sweat pants showed off his boxers, and just headed back out towards the door, grabbing an entire six pack of beer and heading outside with it; it looked like he wouldn't be sleeping that night. Yeah, well, what else was new?

A DEADLY WISH BUT IT SHOULD'VE COME SOONER A CORPSE IN A FUNERAL THAT I WOULD NEVER ATTEND THERE IS A LIGHT ON IN THE BACK OF THIS HOUSE, BUT YOU'RE NOT AROUND, TO DIE IS TO LIVE IN HIS HEAD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . It was always in the depths of her dreams where she was fully comfortable. Very rarely did she have nightmares, but there were some that just didn't make sense, which in turn made Corelynn question herself why she was having such odd dreams... They say that things from your past and future have a huge impact on your dreams. Corelynn can't read the future, but she's found out that most, if not all, of her dreams had meaning. Not this one. She couldn't tell what this one was about...
In her dream she awoke in a chair, a cloth gently covering her eyes. When she pulled it off she was trapped in a room filled with mirrors, at first all she could see is herself, but when she walked slowly forward to one she could see herself and Mattie -- laughing and playing games like any other day... then, then the mirror changed. Chain stood there with a bloody nose and lip. He just stood there, staring back at her. Slowly she moved her hand, he mimicked, when she touched the reflected fingertips the scene began to change, the lights went off and it was only lit by the fire that she could see in the mirror. Watching Chain's face change into that disappointed and ashamed look made Corelynn's stomach turn. All she could do was watch this happen and when he went away her fists thrust against the mirror, supposedly giving everything she had. But the mirrors wouldn't break.
It wasn't the dream that woke her, it was Chain's restless movement. All she could hear was his heavy breathing and the movement of him crawling out of bed, then leaving the room. She laid there, trying to figure out what was going on with him. Hopefully it wasn't something Corelynn did... was it? Slowly she climbed out of the bed, grabbing any random pants that were on the floor. She had to give him props, he did clean up a lot in here. She could at least finally see the floor... although there were still a few things, at least she was with Chain.
Sliding the gray sweat pants on over her black underwear she began heading to the door. Stopping a second to wonder if she would wake anyone or not. Nah, Chain was up so Spencer probably was too. She walked out of the room, watching the floor so she wouldn't step on anything. It wasn't that trashed, but in the dark... it was pretty bad. Hearing the soft snores of sleeping Spencer told her that Chain was most likely outside then. Going with her gut she followed the light to the door. Quickly after she found Chain holding a six pack and looking up at the night sky. Sitting beside him she took the cold pack of beer and set it beside her, "Hey..." Greeting him she took his arm into her lap, fiddling with his tattooed fingers. "It's a beautiful night..." Corelynn stated, it really was a beautiful star filled sky. One of Corelynn's favorite things about the night.
Taking the hand in her lap she tugged him forward onto the cool damp grass that obviously hasn't been trimmed in a few weeks. It didn't really matter because it a comfortable laying area. Resting her head on her arm, the other was busy busy pointing out the bright silver stars. She looked over at Chain and smiled, then playfully rolled closer to him, only her torso was hovering over him. For a moment she stared into his deep eyes, trying to see what was troubling ever so badly. Her lips brushed against his, then once more with a lot more feeling and... passion.
Her head was now resting on his chest, listening to his every heart beat. "...What's wrong?" She lifted her hand to stroke his forehead, trying everything to comfort him. The once again speaking, "I... I didn't do anything.... did I?" Her voice was a little shaky with worry as she spoke, which actually made her a little embarrassed when she noticed it. Blue eyes traveled back the sky, hoping the answer wouldn't suck...

As could be expected, he couldn’t see many stars, but the ones that he did comforted him a little. It was nice, sometimes, being outside. It was like it was where he belonged, almost. He couldn’t imagine ever living in a nice, perfect little house with a maid running about making sure everything was spotless. However, their house could use some improvement…
He reached over blindly for his beers, only to find them missing; instead, his hand was occupied by Corelynn’s as she slid into place beside him. He smirked as she played with his fingers, tracing the tattoos on his fingers, and then sighed. “Yeah, it is,” he agreed quietly, then nudged her, adding playfully, “But it would be even better if you’d give me my beers back.”
He chuckled as she pulled him into the grass, lying down on the cool ground. It felt so relieving; he was still slightly overheated, and the cold ground was definitely helping to fix that problem. They chatted quietly for a little while, but he mainly listened to her as she pointed out the stars like some little kid, while he allowed the discomfort from his dream to wash away, replaced by a sort of bliss and comfort he wasn’t used to feeling. Who cared if he had to go through shit for this girl? Who cared? Even though he’d only known her for a little while, he just felt, well… He felt nicer around her, which was really saying something. Chain smiled a little at her seemingly contained enthusiasm at the stars, chuckling a little on occasion.
She propped herself up until she was just over him, and he stared back, the arm that she hadn’t been laying on crossed under his head. He smiled up at her, though he knew he wasn’t hiding anything. However, no matter how disturbed he was by his nightmare, he was still rather content with the moment. She kissed him lightly, and he removed his hand from under his head, running it through her hair and resting there as she kissed him, eventually pressing her down a little harder. Eventually, it ended, and he was left with her laying down on his chest. He exhaled slowly, closing his eyes and letting the feeling of, well… No matter how corny it sounded, the feeling of being wanted again to wash over him.
He exhaled slowly as she lifted her head, asking him what was wrong. He shook his head lightly, never lifting it from his arms, which were once again under his head. “No, you didn’t do a thing,” he said, smiling at her softly. “I just had a bad dream,” he said, trying to shrug it off nonchalantly, but failing at least a little. He chuckled, then grew a little bit more serious. “I just… I tend to have nightmares about… Things. From earlier on in my life, you know?” He shrugged as well as he could, then sighed. “It’s something that happens a lot. I get used to it.”

A DEADLY WISH BUT IT SHOULD'VE COME SOONER A CORPSE IN A FUNERAL THAT I WOULD NEVER ATTEND THERE IS A LIGHT ON IN THE BACK OF THIS HOUSE, BUT YOU'RE NOT AROUND, TO DIE IS TO LIVE IN HIS HEAD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Her eyes fluttered shut as he spoke, his voice was just all too calming. Her hands messing with the hem of his dark shirt. It was, obviously, an amazing night. Despite what all has gone down today. She would have never guess that all this much shit could actually go down in one single night. Lifting her head up a bit, she listened as he talked about his nightmares. It looked like it really bothered him... it was almost painful for her to look at him. You know, knowing all the things he's been through. Her hand lifted to his mouth, tracing the out line of his oddly enough soft lips. "...Chain," She stopped to look into his eyes, hoping that he took her seriously, "You can talk to me about anything... I won't judge... I just... I want to know you..." It was weird how good saying that made her feel.
Her head was back to resting on his chest. Fingers busy tracing the wild and bright tattoos. A smirk grew across her face as she formed a plan. Figuring that they didn't have to be totally miserable tonight, I mean, she could at least play it up a bit. Make it fun for both of them? ...Make him spill what has really been bothering him. Yes, that's exactly what she was going to. Hopefully it wouldn't totally back fire on her...
Without even thinking she flipped herself on top of him, pinning him down so he couldn't really move. Childishly she let out a "rawr"... or maybe it was a "meow." Whatever it was, it was meant to be somewhat... sexy? Releasing one of his arms from her grip she started to tickle just a bit above his hips moving upward until she was just a bit below her rip cage. She really didn't know what she was doing, but hopefully, somehow it would work. Her head lowered, gently, but playfully kissing his jaw bone.
All she wanted was to comfort him, make him wanted, make him feel needed. She didn't exactly know how, but with her she would find a way. Never give up. Most of the time people always came first to her, sadly that wasn't exactly what happened with Mattie and Wes. It was official they probably hated her and wanted nothing to do with her. Cassadee probably felt the same way, although she really had no reason to... th0ugh Corelynn would most likely do the same thing. Defend who she loved, liked, whatever. You know what I mean.
Still on top of him, she brushed against his lips, almost teasing, although not really. Her hair falling into both of their faces, mostly Chain's of course. Something just came over her and the next thing she knew her hands were moving to his hips, fingers twisting around his belt loop, then to his pants button. No, no... she couldn't be doing this, but... she wanted to all too badly. Half of her wanted to just get it oever with, but of course the logical side was screaming at her to wait. Corelynn didn't want this to end up like another "Matt" relationship... although it was quite obvious it wouldn't, but still.

She said his name, and he hummed out, "hmmm?" to let her know that he was listening, but otherwise remained in his current position, a tad too content with it to move.
He smiled a bit more when she spoke, chuckling. "Yeah, I know. You're just going to have to let me get a bit used to it." He sighed and turned his eyes to the stars once more, before she suddenly pounced... And he meant that rather literally. She had his arms magically held down, no longer under his head, and she was straddling him, letting out rather raunchy little growl type thing. Whatever it was, it was working; he got the picture.
"Oh... Heyyy," he said, curiosity suddenly peaked. She leaned down and kissed his jawbone, fingers running up his side, below his rib cages, and... Right in between them.
Suddenly, he flipped out. He jerked, probably tossing Cor to the side, even though he grabbed her to try to keep her from landing hard or anything. He sat up, eyes widened with surprise, and glanced down. "...What the fuck just happened?" He rubbed the area curiously, continuing to stare downwards when nothing happened; obviously, Chain had never heard of being ticklish... Or at least not in him.
"Er, that was... Odd." he furrowed his brows, then rubbed the side of his head awkwardly, scratching and messing with his hair as he did so. "I don't even know... I've never done that before!" Man, way to make it sound like he was coming up with an excuse for bad sex, right?
"Uhm," he paused, clearing his throat, and then stood awkwardly, quite obviously embarrassed. "I'm just going to have a drink, actually, and pretend this never happened." He grabbed a bear, tilted it towards her in a post, and opened it, tilting it this time into his mouth. After a moment of sitting there brooding and sipping at his drink, he finally seemed to grow a little exhasperated, letting one hand drop to his side. "I still don't even know what the fuck that was..."
